High School Jazz Band

The High School Jazz Band is currently working on music in preparation for the annual PSU Jazz Festival held on the campus of PSU this Friday, March 2. The bus will load at 6:45 A.M & we play in McCray Hall at 8:00 A.M. We will be back to Girard before school is out at 3:00 P.M.

6th Grade Band

The 6th Grade Band is currently working on pages 18 & 19 in their band books.

They are also working on music in preparation for the annual Mid-America music contest held at PSU on Saturday, April 21.

Please remember that all 6th Grade Band students are supposed to take their instruments home every weekend to practice.

7th & 8th Grade Band

The 7th & 8th Grade Band is currently working on music for Spring performances. We now have both contest pieces picked & are now working on both in preparation for the annual Mid-America music contest held at PSU on Saturday, April 21.

High School Choir

The High School Choir is currently working on music for the annual CNC Music Contest on Wednesday, February 22 in Baxter Springs. We are getting solo music picked for 3 soloists this week.

High School Band

The High School is currently working on the 2 pieces we will play at the annual CNC League Music Contest on Wednesday, February 22 in Baxter Springs. We also have 13 soloists & 1 ensemble working on music for this contest.

We also are playing at our last home basketball game of the season tonight. Concession stand workers need to be ready at 6:00 P.M. and the pep band members need to be ready to play at 6:30 P.M.
